Marcus Dagan is a Baltimore cabaret icon. He was a regular at Little Italy’s Italian Restaurant & Cabaret Club, Germano’s, in the Inner Harbor. Now, Dagan will make his Boston debut September 10, at the monthly series First Mondays.

Patricia Fitzpatrick, producer of the Annual Provincetown CabaretFest, joins Dagan. They met

when Dagan first performed at Provincetown CabaretFest in 2015. “We are both from an era of smoky night club rooms and after-hours blues joints.  It never occurred to us to team up as a duo until one night, we were jamming after hours and realized on the spot, that we share a similar history of jazz joints and singing the standards in new ways. The spontaneity we shared was magical. Our first duo performance was at Germano’s last November,” laughed Fitzpatrick.  “We killed!”

Boston’s cabaret performer and producer, John O’Neil, hosts the monthly show First Mondays at the Napoleon Room at Club Café. O’Neil features two performers who are either just breaking into the industry or are seasoned pros. Guests enjoy a cozy atmosphere, diverse menu choices, a wide variety of cocktails, experienced wait staff and a no-cover cabaret show.

Fitzpatrick’s cabaret career has taken her to Ronnie Scott’s in London, The Sugar Club in Antiqua with the legendary Bobby Wetherbee and a wide variety of NYC clubs with Musical Director/accompanist, Brian Patton. She is thrilled to be working again with Marcus Dagan.

“We usually perform as solo acts,” said Dagan. “Putting a show together has been a project featuring a love for lyrics. We decided to each do some of our personal favorites and have called the show The Best of Us. We may throw in an original song or a duet or two, however as featured artists, we’re going to stick to our audience favorites.”

The Best of Us debuts on September 10 at 7:30pm in the Napoleon Room at Club Café, Boston. Reservations are highly recommended as table spaces in the main room are going quickly.
