Five-time Grammy-nominated artist Karrin Allyson has forged an extraordinary career as a singer, songwriter, pianist, composer and bandleader. Beloved by musicians, concert-goers and jazz connoisseurs around the world, Allyson has recorded 15 CDs; her latest, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Many A New Day from Motema Records. Her recordings showcase her astonishing breadth of repertoire, with jazz and Brazilian standards from composers including Gershwin, Porter, Monk, Jobim and more. With her strong blues foundation and her ability to deliver on the nuances of just about any tradition, Allyson is one of the most dynamic, versatile and accessible jazz vocalists on the scene.
