Well-Strung returns to The Art House in Provincetown after Christopher Marchant and Trevor Wadleigh recently appeared this past winter on CBS’ “The Amazing Race” as #TeamWellStrung.
The critically acclaimed singing string quartet’s most recent CD entitled POPssical debuted at #8 on Billboard’s Classical Crossover Chart and #9 on Billboard’s Classical Chart.
The NY Times raved about Well-Strung by calling them “A talented quartet of men who sing and play string instruments – got its start in Provincetown and brilliantly fuses pop and classical music from Madonna to Beethoven.” They have appeared twice on “The Today Show with Kathie Lee & Hoda” and the foursome has quickly gained international attention playing in London, Rome and Vienna, as well as selling out venues all across the United States. The quartet features Edmund Bagnell (first violin), Christopher Marchant (second violin), Daniel Shevlin (cello) and Trevor Wadleigh (viola). Well-Strung was founded by producer Mark Cortale and Christopher Marchant.
In 2015, they performed at the DNC’s Gala in NYC honoring President Obama, as well as performing for Secretary Hillary Clinton after their video “Chelsea’s Mom” went viral. They have also appeared on “Watch What Happens Live” with Andy Cohen and performed with artists that include Kristin Chenoweth, Audra McDonald, and Neil Patrick Harris.
