Well-Strung Returns to Provincetown at The Art House – August 11-16

Well-Strung

Well-Strung, a New York City based string quartet, conceived by producer Mark Cortale and Chris Marchant, returns to Provincetown for one week at The Art House, from August 11 -16.

The NY Times raved about Well-Strung by calling them “a talented quartet of men who sing and play string instruments, who got its start in Provincetown and brilliantly fuses pop and classical music from Madonna to Beethoven.” They have appeared twice on “The Today Show” with Kathie Lee & Hoda and quickly gained international attention playing in London, Rome and Vienna, as well as selling out venues all across the United States. The quartet features Edmund Bagnell (first violin), Christopher Marchant (second violin), Daniel Shevlin (cello) and Trevor Wadleigh (viola). Christopher Marchant and Trevor Wadleigh recently appeared this past winter on CBS’ “The Amazing Race” as #TeamWellStrung.

In 2015, they performed at the DNC Gala in NYC honoring President Obama as well as performing for Secretary Hillary Clinton after their video, “Chelsea’s Mom,” went viral. They have also appeared on “Watch What Happens Live” with Andy Cohen and performed with artists including Kristin Chenoweth, Audra McDonald and Neil Patrick Harris. The critically acclaimed singing string quartet’s most recent CD entitled POPssical, debuted at #8 on Billboard’s Classical Crossover Chart and #9 on Billboard’s Classical Chart.
