Sandra Bernhard is always three steps ahead of the crowd. She has to be. She’s Quick Sand. for two performances, August 8 and 9 at Crown & Anchor In these fast paced times a lady can’t stop moving, you never know what you might encounter next in this fun house world we’re living in. So Sandy takes control, bringing you a mélange of musings, music and whimsy. “Never boring j’adoring” is her motto, covering the waterfront of the outrageous, quotidian and glamorous. Take a break with Sandy and don’t get stuck in the mundane. 

Sandra Bernhard continues to tour nationally and overseas with her show Sandra Monica Blvd: Coast to Coast, which she debuted at The Wallis Annenburg Center for the Performing Arts in Los Angeles and at her annual  holiday shows at Joe’s Pub in New York City. Her shows spotlight her own unique, sharp blend of hysterical insight and outspoken views, with rock-n- roll, cabaret, stand-up and a little burlesque. Bernhard’s show, which features her band The Sandyland Squad, has been selling out venues in New York City, Los Angeles and all points in between.

On TV, Bernhard played the first  openly gay character on a network sitcom, Nancy Bartlett on “Roseanne” and in the CBS sitcom “Two Broke Girls,” as Joedth, the gay owner of a Manhattan restaurant. Her other TV appearances have included as Gina’s mother, Darlene Linetti, in Fox’s “Brooklyn 99,” ABC Family’s “Switched at Birth” as art professor Teresa Lubarsky and currently, as AIDS doctor Judy Kubrak, on the ground-breaking FX show, “Pose.”

Bernhard hosts her own hugely popular SiriusXM Radio daily live show, “Sandyland” on Andy Cohen’s Radio Andy channel 102.
