Final Free Movie Nights: Alfred Hitchcock’s Scariest Films, hosted by Marc Strauss

Wednesdays in October at 5:30 – 8pm

The Provincetown Public Library welcomes the community to participate in the Alfred Hitchcock’s Scariest Films Series screened at the Provincetown Public Library during the month of October. This line-up of films has been curated and will be hosted by Marc Strauss, Professor Emeritus, Holland School of Visual Performing Arts, Southeast Missouri State University. Each program will include a short introduction and a brief discussion after the film.

October 24: The Birds (1963; 1 hour, 49 minutes)—Tippi Hedren, Rod Taylor, and mankind’s feathered “friends” star in this environmental apocalyptic warning.

October 31: Frenzy (1972; 1 hour, 56 minutes)—Hitchcock’s penultimate film recounts the story of a serial killer who hides in plain daylight. A very black comedy AND gruesome character study penned by Anthony Shaffer (Sleuth).
