By Larry Myers**** The wife of Song of Singapore composer, Michael Garin, is Mardie Millit. She possesses a voice of the quality of Broadway star, Kelli O’Hara. Toni Tennille-ish, she is consummately feminine and evokes the 60’s era. The whimsy of the great Barbara Harris is evoked by her On A Clear Day You Can See Forever, “Hurry, It’s Lovely Up Here.” It is a joy. From “These Boots are Made for Walkin'” to “Dancing in the Streets” to “Both Sides Now,” she is remarkably appealing as a younger-days Sandy Duncan. In this evening of duets and double entendres, she is high-level finesse and charm; a talent like hers will not go unheralded. Whether it be The Sound of Music or Kiss Me, Kate, one can easily imagine her as the star.
