If you’re looking for a great show this weekend, Mark Cortale and Broadway @ The Art House are proud to present Alice Ripley, for two shows only in Ripley Prescription: Songs to Heal A Soulwith Alice Ripley, vocals and percussion and Brad Simmons, piano.

Ripley Prescription: Songs to Heal A Soul, will feature songs from Sunset Blvd, Next to Normal, The Who’s Tommy, Rufus Wainwright, Fleetwood Mac and original RIPLEY music.

Ms. Ripley received the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for Next to Normal. She also received the Helen Hayes Award as well as Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations. She was most recently seen in the Broadway musical American Psycho and the original Broadway casts of Side Show (Drama Desk, Tony Award nominations), The Rocky Horror Show, James Joyce’s The Dead, Sunset Boulevard and The Who’s Tommy. She also appeared on Broadway and on National tour in Les Misérables and Off-Broadway/regional theatre in Next to Normal, Five Flights, James Joyce’s The Dead, The Vagina Monologues, Tell Me on a Sunday (Helen Hayes nomination), Shakespeare in Hollywood (Helen Hayes nomination), Company (Helen Hayes nomination). Her recordings include Next to Normal, Little Fish, Skinner/Ripley: Raw at Town Hall, Sondheim: The Stephen Sondheim Album, Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens, The Rocky Horror Show, The Stephen Schwartz Album, Duets, Unsuspecting Hearts, Side Show and The Who’s Tommy. With her band RIPLEY, Alice has written and produced the albums Everything’s Fine (2001, Sh-K-Boom Records), Ripley EP (2003), Outtasite (2006).
